VoiceAngel Ocx is worked out in 2000,for telephone fee notification system of China Telecom.It greately reduce investment of the outbound call system for it can use voice modem to do the same thing that voice boards can.

It can be used in your application to make and answer telephone calls, detect Caller ID on incoming calls, detect remote party DTMF key press tones, generate DTMF tones, enumerate the installed telephony devices, and translate the telephone number,play or record voice,send or receive fax.

VoiceAngel has been widely used in computer telephony integration systems (CTI), interactive voice response systems (IVR), voice mail, audiotext, automated attendants, unified messaging, digital recording, outgoing telemarketing, school closing systems, predictive dialers, call center and other computer telephony applications.

VoiceAngel is a TAPI compliant telephony control. TAPI is the Telephony API, jointly developed by Intel and Microsoft, the standard for all 32 bit Windows versions. TAPI enables applications to share telephony devices with each other and provides a common means of handling different media voice, data, etc. on a wide range of telephony hardware platforms. VoiceAngel can be used with all TAPI compliant telephony hardware, including professional multi-line telephony cards, low cost voice or data modems, compliant ISDN adapters, switches and telephone instruments etc.

VoiceAngel abstracts TAPI to a simple telephone object that can be easily controlled by your application.

Written in C++ using ATL Active Template Library, VoiceAngel is lightweight with no dependencies and can be used on Windows 9x, Windows ME, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

As an ActiveX control VoiceAngel can be used in the many development environments that support ActiveX controls, including Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi, Microsoft's Office products, .Net, C++ Builder, PowerBuilder etc.

VoiceAngel is available in three versions, Voice,Fax and Full version.

1. Outbound Call Status Judgement with Voice Modem
   TAPI states that it does not support outbound call status tracking with voice modems.It directly give an CONNECTED event immediately after the number has been dialed. Thus people seldom use voice modem to do missions with outbound calls.Our unique Wave Shape Analysis Technology make it possible to track the status of the outbound calls with voice modem by three event-Busy,Connected and BusyOrShutdown.VoiceAngel analyzed the features of the wave shapes of the ring back sound by computing its frenquency and amplitude.Once someone pickup the phone,the shape of the sound in the line changed,and voiceangel invoke an CONNECTED event immediately.
2. Voice and Fax in a Same Call
   VoiceAngel can work in AT COMMAND mode when it controls voice modems.In this mode,it can play or record wave files on the line,and then start sending or receiving fax.
3. Wave Shape Showing and wave data available
   When voiceangel dialing a call with voice modem,wave shapes of ring back,like regular Sine curves,can be shown on the control.When playing or recording or Monitor Silence,wave shapes of the sound can also be shown. 4. Get AT COMMANDS from Windows Registry
   When it work in AT COMMAND mode,it can get AT COMMANDS settings for the modem from the windows registry. When an method is called,it send the corresponding commands string to the modem.This make it compatible with many modems even in AT COMMAND mode.
