Modems tested to date

 

Testing various modems with VoiceAngel is an on-going exercise. If you have used it with a modem not on the list, please tell us about your experience.

Type: ESS ES56STH-PI Data Fax Voice Modem(Internal Modem)    Chipset: Ess 2838

OS: Win ME

Observations: No callerID , small volume when playing ,can not judge disconnection. No speakerphone function.

Type: ESS ES56STH-PI Data Fax Voice Modem(Internal Modem)    Chipset: Ess 2838

OS: Win 2K

Observations: Display ESS ES56STH-PI Data Fax Modem in the device manager. Can not dial or answer.I think something is wrong with the driver under Windows 2000.

Type: Conexant softk56 data,fax,voice,speakerphone Chipset(Internal modem): conexant /rockwell 6793

OS: Windows 98,Windows ME,Windows 2000, Windows XP

Observations: Very good, supports all the functions VoiceAngel offers.

Type: CIRRUS 56K External MODEM

OS: Windows ME,Windows 2000

Observations: When recording stops, there is a delay for about 8 seconds.Low volume when playing

Type: Chipset ambient mb5628 .

OS: Not reported.

Observations: Fairly good at voice feature.
