The D/4PCI is the currently recommended board.
The following models do not work because they were not fully TAPI compliant:
Which Operating System Works Best with Dialogic Boards?
In our experience, Dialogic cards work best under Windows 2000. Windows NT4 also works well. Drivers are available for Windows 95/98 but can sometimes cause difficulties.
For Windows XP you can use the standard drivers (SR5.1.1) for most cards (except D/4PCIU or UF) so long as you also install their patch "Service Pack 1" (download from http://resource.intel.com/telecom/support/releases/winnt/Sr511/index.htm ). For the D/4PCIU or UF cards you many need to purchase the Feature Pack to get working XP drivers.
Windows 2000 is the current recommended operating system because the drivers work as-is with most cards.
Where can I purchase Dialogic Boards?
There are many online retailers of Dialogic Voice Boards. Try the link below and search "Dialogic".
Please check with the supplier to see if they provide TAPI/Wave drivers on CD-ROM since the driver download can be large (see below).
Where can I download Dialogic TAPI/Wave Drivers?
Windows 2000/XP: If you do not have a CD-ROM with drivers, you can download the drivers (SR5.1.1) from http://resource.intel.com/telecom/support/releases/winnt/Sr511/index.htm . Please note the download is 300MB and a partial download is not possible.
Windows XP: Please make sure you also install the Service Pack 1 available on the same site. If you want to use the D/4PCIU or UF cards under Windows XP you may need to purchase the Dialogic Feature Pack from your supplier.
Call is not answered
This means the board or the TSP are not installed correctly (see above).
Call is answered but no audio plays
This mean either you:
Some customers in the UK have reported a problem with the doubling of the number of rings. If you set the IVM to answer after 2 rings it will actually answer after 4 rings. The solution is to simply double the number of rings you enter.
The minimum number of rings before answering is 2. Even if you set the number at 0 in the IVM the board will wait for 2 rings before answering.
Caller ID not reported
Change the Dialogic setup item "Report Call" to 3 which gives the Caller ID enough time to work.
End of recording chopped
There have been some reports where the last few seconds of a recording is chopped off. This is due to some sort of buffering issue with the Dialogic card. It has been suggested that adjusting the "end-of-call timer" settings in the Dialogic settings will improve this. Further information on where to find these settings and confirmation that this makes a difference would be appreciated.
Perfect call problems
One customer had the following comment: For some reason the perfect call feature was not working correctly. When I disabled perfect call and keyed in the disconnect tones into the TAPI configuration, the system started working properly. I can now reboot the PC, log in, and launch your IVM software and it works great!
